Snake River Energy in Idaho’s Magic Valley
POWER FOR IDAHO - FROM IDAHO
About the
Snake River Energy Project
Snake River Energy (a subsidiary of Arevia Power) is a proposed utility-scale solar and battery storage project on Bureau of Land Management-managed public lands in Gooding and Lincoln counties, approximately 20 miles north of Twin Falls, Idaho.
Generating Local Power for Local People
The Snake River Energy Project will connect with the Idaho Power transmission system near the existing Midpoint Substation.
Snake River Energy will provide reliable, locally sourced energy to Idahoans for a fair and competitive price.

Providing Sustainable, Reliable Energy
Idaho needs energy.
As the Gem State continues to grow, it needs more power to reliably support Idaho’s residential and business energy needs. Idaho Power needs to acquire a significant amount of new power generation resources between 2026 and 2028 to meet its growth demands.
The Snake River Energy Project will help provide a new capacity resource for Idaho Power and contribute to eliminating the state’s dependence on out-of-state energy resources.
Benefits for Idaho
The development of the Snake River Energy Project would significantly benefit Idaho’s Magic Valley.
The Project’s investments would include quality job opportunities, the use of local goods and services, tax generation for local counties, and charitable contributions to local schools and organizations.

Investing in Idaho
The Snake River Energy Project’s parent company, Arevia Power, is committed to investing up to
$3.1 billion in capital expenditures.
These long-term investments in the Gem State will create jobs, stimulate economic growth, strengthen local industries, and ensure local agriculture and public lands are protected for future generations.
Our Committment
Protecting Idaho’s Lands
The Snake River Energy Project understands the importance of Idaho’s abundant natural resources, especially its bountiful agriculture lands.
Supporting Ranchers
Solar farms can accommodate sheep grazing, as well as help enhance botanical diversity given the increased shading under solar panels.
Snake River Energy has worked closely with the existing grazing permittee to allow grazing to continue.
Safeguarding Agriculture
Solar energy production can be combined with grazing and agricultural use on project sites.
Snake River Energy is evaluating forage availability and grazing capacity before and after development, with the objective of no net loss of livestock grazing capacity within the affected allotment. If necessary, Snake River Energy will work with the BLM and grazing permittee on measures such as reseeding, vegetation restoration, noxious weed management, and changes to grazing management.
Preserving the Gem State
Snake River Energy will prioritze the protection of Idaho’s environment and way of life.
- Solar panels are quiet, good neighbors. They feature low-profile structures, require minimal maintenance, and low to no water to operate.
- The power generation of solar creates minimal noise, compared to the average home’s air conditioner
- Solar panels incorporate anti-glare technology, and additional heat is undetectable 100ft away
